Central Minnesota businesses are experiencing a shortage of new workers, in industries that make up the backbone of our community. Times Media understands the concerns of area business leaders. What can we as a community do? The answer is Spark! We need to Spark passions in the up and coming generations, our future workforce, about the wide array of career options available to them. We need students and their parents to discover opportunities and start new conversations to ensure a successful future, while providing local businesses the chance to show Central Minnesota why they are an industry leader.
Throughout the course of the 2016-2017 school year, Times Media will focus on showcasing businesses and careers that require a two-year college education or less. These are highly sought after, quality careers that are based in Central Minnesota and are obtainable for students that might not be interested in pursuing a four-year college degree.
Times Media will expose students, parents and educators to the wide variety of in-demand industries through our multi-platform reach, including the St. Cloud Times, sctimes.com, the Rookie Professional podcast, video and social media avenues such as Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter. Spark! will ignite conversations between parents and their children, educators and the workforce, and everyone in between.
Whether it’s finding that next job now or that first job for the next generation, Times Media helps connect Central Minnesotans with job and career opportunities in demand now and in the future.
