Hiring our Immigrant Workforce 101 is a series in events planned for both the employers and the job seekers to help better educate while allowing each to better connect to discuss opportunities in Greater St. Cloud as it relates to workforce.
We held the 1st employer session on March 30th with over 80 employers and workforce partners attending. Great information was shared from our 4 panelists as to how they have successfully hired and retained immigrant employees.
Following this engaging employer session, we focused on the immigrant job seekers hosting a session titled: “Understanding the American Work Place”. This session helped job seekers better understand our workplace and offered answers to questions they had regarding their employment search.
Our 2nd employer event is scheduled for June. Details will be finalized and shared in the coming weeks.
The Greater St. Cloud Immigrant Employment Connection Group will host subsequent events throughout the year. We will announce updates as specific topics and plans are finalized.
Back by popular demand, our Coffee and Careers at Capital ONE events will be starting up again for 2016. We will host 4 events in 2016 featuring 6-9 different employers each time along with offering resume/interviewing and LinkedIn support to our job seekers.

June 16th – 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. – 9 employers confirmed
Sept 16th – 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. – opportunities available to participate
November 18th – 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. – opportunities available to participate
