On July 28 GSDC hosted a meeting of the Minnesoat Medical Manufacturing Partnership (MMMP).
The MMMP is a collaboration of partners & stakeholders from a 24 county region anchored by the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, St. Cloud, Mankato and Rochester regions along with the State of MN. The MMMP received “Investing in Manufacturing Community Partnerships” (IMCP) designation on July 8, 2015, from the Economic Development Administration in the US Department of Commerce. It supports a cluster-based strategy to grow and strengthen the region’s medical manufacturing industries. The IMPC designation provides preferential consideration for funding streams of the IMCP federal-aligned agencies and a point of contact to access federal assistance for eligible development strategies and projects.
Attending the meeting were Patti Gartland, Michael Langley (Greater MSP), Betsy Knapp (Greater MSP), Dale Whalstrom (Act 3), Marsha Danielson (So. Central College, Mankato), Megan Livgard (Greater MSP), Nicole Griensewic Mickelson (Region 9 Development Commission), Genevieve Plumadore (Medical Alley Association) and David Griggs (Greater MSP).
GSDC president Patti Gartland and Michael Langley, CEO of Greater MSP co-chair the initiative.
