GSDC Governance Committee Message re: Tobacco 21 Initiative

Dear GSDC Investors,
We know through the Gallup-Heathways Well-Being 5 Assessment completed in 2015 that our region's overall well-being score was statistically much higher than in MN and compared to the nation. As such, our region enjoys an economic advantage as a result of workplace health and well-being, and it will be an even greater advantage as we continue to focus on it together across the next decade and beyond.

The purpose of this communication is to bring to your attention an important public policy initiative that seeks to further improve the health and well-being within our community. Area cities are being asked to increase the minimum age for purchase of tobacco products to 21. We urge you to get informed on this important issue and to engage in the public decision making processes being undertaken by the area city councils. Below you will find a link to  an informational publication offered by Feeling Good MN, an initiative of CentraCare Health, a GSDC founding investor and partner in the GSDC's Workplace Well-Being initiative.

Best Regards,  GSDC Governance Committee
