Filsan Consultant, LLC realized the need to provide employer training to business owners and their staff on how to integrate New American and immigrant employees into their company. Filsan offers training and educational opportunities focused on the inclusion and integration of minority populations to businesses and organizations in the greater Central Minnesota area.
Filsan connects immigrant employees, community members and companies with resources to foster a closer relationship, and helps local businesses to expand and grow while hiring more competent workers.
For Employers, Filsan provides individualized training about employer engagement in immigrant integration at the actual worksite. It holds trainings tailored for employers such as understanding the Somali culture, managing conflicts in the company and translating company’s policies in Somali.
Filsan equally provides On-the-job training for Employees which includes attendance, performance, workplace ethics, and resecting company’s policies, practices, and procedures. Filsan trains the employees to understand the management’s goals and know their rights. It also trains immigrant workers on the expectations and cultural norms to apply in order to succeed and advance in the America’s workforce.
Hudda Ibrahim, the president of Filsan Consulting LLC, is a community bridge builder, mentor, proponent of women’s empowerment, peace activist, author, aspiring entrepreneur, and source of inspiration to students. She is the author of From Somalia to Snow: How Central Minnesota Became Home to Somalis. The book which displays her experiences, knowledge, and passion for helping immigrants integrate into the American way of life is aimed at helping Minnesota build a stronger, more inclusive community in which all can flourish.
