Greater St. Cloud is a regional economic development nonprofit serving the Greater St. Cloud, Minnesota region. Funded by investor donors – local businesses and nonprofit organizations – we work collaboratively to strengthen the regional economy, support job creation, and position Central Minnesota as one of the best places to build or relocate a business.
We support business attraction, retention, and expansion by connecting existing companies, entrepreneurs, and community leaders with the resources, data, and partnerships that drive growth and long-term success. We serve startups and established businesses, site selectors, and employers looking to invest in Central Minnesota.

Start.up Connect’s mission is to learn from, support, and inspire our MN startup community. This meetup is for entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives, and community members to come together and explore the startup journey with founders and starters from Central MN and beyond. Each event has two speakers- one from the St. Cloud Area, and one from Greater MN. All are welcome to attend (not just startups)!

The St. Cloud Times’ “5 Under 40” awards are for recognizing young local leaders, with nominations typically opening in late winter (around February) and closing in early March for a May event, so for 2026, expect nominations around February 2026, with winners announced and celebrated in May 2026, honoring those under 40 in the greater St. Cloud area for community and business impact. Stay tuned for 2026 for official announcements and nomination details.
