Exploring Potential Interests & Careers (EPIC) is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven leader to serve as its next EPIC Managing Director. This position provides strategic leadership for a regional career exploration and workforce development initiative that connects students, educators, employers, and community partners to meaningful career pathways.

The EPIC Managing Director serves as the primary leader of the organization, working closely with the EPIC Governing Board to expand career exploration opportunities, strengthen partnerships between education and industry, and advance equitable access to workforce development initiatives throughout Central Minnesota.

What You'll Do - As the EPIC Managing Director, you will:

  • Lead EPIC's strategic direction, initiatives, and partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, employers, higher education institutions, workforce organizations, nonprofits, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate regional workforce collaborations, including the Postgraduation Pathways Collaborative Action Network (PGP CAN) and other talent pipeline initiatives.
  • Plan and oversee signature programs and events such as EPIC Student Day, Teacher Career Crawl, Employer Tours, and Business & Industry Summits.
  • Lead marketing, communications, community outreach, and public engagement efforts.
  • Develop sponsorships, pursue grant opportunities, and manage organizational resources and budgets.
  • Support the EPIC Governing Board through meetings, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Measure and communicate program outcomes and regional impact.

What We're Looking For - Successful candidates will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, communications, business, nonprofit management, workforce development, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in program leadership, workforce development, education, nonprofit management, community engagement, or event planning.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and public presentation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, partnerships, and priorities.
  • Strategic thinking, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with fundraising, grant writing, or board governance is preferred.
