Navigating Growth in Our Greater Region
NeTia joined the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation in July 2023 to serve as CEO & President. In this role, she leads the organization’s mission to advance inclusive and equitable economic development across the Greater St. Cloud region. Her career reflects a diverse and intentional progression beginning in startup manufacturing operations and management, expanding into applied research and academia at North Dakota State University (NDSU), and evolving into nonprofit leadership and regional economic development.
She brings a practitioner’s mindset to her work, grounded in real-world business operations, data-driven strategy, and collaborative problem-solving. NeTia is particularly skilled in business development and is deeply passionate about entrepreneurship-led economic development (ELED) and downtown revitalization. She earned her Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in 2022.
Previously, Bauman served as CEO for Greater Fergus Falls, Administrator for the Fergus Falls Downtown Riverfront Council, and held several roles at the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI) at NDSU, where her work bridged research, policy, and community impact. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Cloud Downtown Alliance, the Emerging Trends Advisory Committee (ETAC) at IEDC, and serves as an instructor for IEDC.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking with her family, paddle boarding, and true crime.
