Many experts believe that educational attainment is the biggest predictor of success for a city or metropolitan area. Greater St. Cloud in Minnesota is a regional education center and a magnet for teaching, learning and the development of individual and collective talent.

The greater St. Cloud region hosts three different public school districts, including Sartell – St. Stephen Independent School District 748Sauk Rapids – Rice Independent School District 47 and St. Cloud Area School District #742. These high-achieving, award-winning districts proudly share the gift of education with over 16,000 K-12 students each school day. The community is also home to Stride Academy, a K-8 Charter school.

Private and parochial schools in the area include St. Cloud Christian SchoolSt. John’s Preparatory School and St. Cloud Cathedral.

With a campus in St. Cloud, Rasmussen College is a nationally renowned career college that help students develop practical, relevant and advanced skills for starting or advancing a career. Resource Training & Solutions is the #1 training provider in central Minnesota. As well, The College of St. Scholastica’s St. Cloud campus offers a mix of online and on-campus classes around business, technology, education and healthcare programs.

The College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s UniversitySt. Cloud State University, and St. Cloud Technical & Community College have been nurturing talent and educating the St. Cloud region for more than 450 years on a combined basis. Greater St. Cloud is at the center of their combined global network of more than 150,000 alumni. With their collective enrollment exceeding 25,000 and ever increasing international enrollees and study-abroad programs, this talent network will continue to expand even further across the globe.

The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation is taking a leadership role in connecting local college graduates with the business community. As well, the GSDC is working with local businesses to help identify future technical skill needs, demand for undergraduate students, and the demand for prospective internships.
