You’re invited to join other business leaders and community partners interested in rebooting and enhancing downtown’s vision during the St. Cloud Downtown Summit on Monday, Dec. 12.

Mayor Dave Kleis will be joined by national experts Chris Leinberger and Tobias Peter, as well as by CentraCare CEO Ken Holmen, to explore lessons learned from American downtowns.

The free event at the River’s Edge Convention Center begins at 6:00 p.m.

SUCCESS WITH YOUR NEXT EMPLOYEES LEADS TO NEED FOR NEW EPIC STAFFER

There’s only one way to describe the importance of 4,200 students from 29 area high schools eagerly exploring career opportunities in 2022. It’s been EPIC, the Exploring Potential Interests and Careers program that introduces students to real-life jobs and employers to really interested future workers!

More than 300 area employers and partners, together with the GSDC, have made EPIC an outstanding community collaborative that is always creating new opportunities. In fact, the program has grown so much that we’re pleased to announce the need for a fulltime EPIC Coordinator, who will work under the direction of GSDC Talent Director, Gail Cruikshank.

MSP PARKING DISCOUNTED $7 A DAY DURING HOLIDAYS

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport just announced that if you’re flying from there Dec. 21 to Jan. 3, you can save $7 a day on daily parking at Terminal 1 ramps when you prebook online.  Parkers who prebook always save $2 per day over drive-up rates at either terminal.

MSP’s Prebooked Parking provides a QR code that you’ll receive in your confirmation, and it’s all you need to enter and exit the ramp.

 

AUTOMATION LOANS NOW AVAILABLE TO MANUFACTURERS

DEED just announced the Automation Loan Participation Program which offers loans to manufacturers, for up to $500,000, to purchase machinery, equipment or software to increase productivity and automation. Eligible borrowers include manufacturing, distribution, technology and warehousing businesses located in Minnesota with fewer than 500 employees.
