For example, we recently hired St. Cloud native Alex Ferkinhoff, a graduate from Bemidji State University who majored in Geography with an emphasis in GIS. Alex was a GIS intern for us the summer of 2015 and came back after graduation as an intern this summer.
Now in September we hired her on as a full-time GIS Specialist. As a GIS Specialist, Alex will be able to utilize the skills she learned at Bemidji State University, putting her GIS knowledge to work in real life scenarios. We are excited for her new journey with GeoComm and glad to keep local talent in the area!”
